A ‘cottage in the city’: Inside this $1.8M waterfront 2-bedroom condo townhouse in Port Credit

Price: $1,828,000
Neighbourhood: Port Credit — Mississauga
X-factor: The condo townhouse is a waterfront property and this feature is likely to entice buyers more than anything else, according to Natasha Jelinek, the listing agent.
“Without a doubt, the biggest selling feature of this townhome is the unobstructed lake views that span across two levels of the home as well as those same views that can be enjoyed from the expansive balcony,” she said.
Othneil Litchmore, the Star’s expert real estate agent, agreed that the waterfront is the biggest selling point.
Unit 4 at 75 Maple Ave. S. offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a two-car garage.
Access to the home is either directly through the private garage or lakefront patio.
Once inside, you immediately find a “cottage in the city” vibe, with the expansive windows and light, Jelinek said.
The condo townhouse is loft style with the upper level featuring as a primary suite with a walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom.
“Open to below, and with panoramic views of the lake and morning sunrises,” Jelinek said.
On the main floor is an open concept space which includes the living and dining areas, and the kitchen, with quartz countertops and a breakfast bar.
Litchmore said the layout of the home is very good and open, and that it’s optimized for lakefront living.
The Port Credit neighbourhood is a waterfront community known for its vibrancy and walkability, Jelinek said.
She added that the nearby Brightwater development enhances the area with increased accessibility to amenities like Farm Boy, Rexall, and LCBO, as well as improved parklands and trails.
Litchmore said a two-bedroom condo townhouse listed for $1,828,000 isn’t exactly average priced, and that the potential buyer for the place is probably someone with deep pockets.
“Value in real estate is what a buyer is willing to pay for a home; this home offers such a unique opportunity that it is hard to determine value based on recent comparable sales,” Jelinek said.
She believes it is appropriately listed based on the current climate and other factors such as square footage, unobstructed lake views, maintenance fees, and property taxes.
A home nearby on Compass Way Drive that had four bedrooms sold recently for $1,815,000, Litchmore confirmed.
